"Loon" has been launched!

Cape Cod, May 1st, 2010
It was a nine month wait to see her again. Several days of unveiling and cleaning and after two years storage, “Loon” finally slipped into the Cape Cod waters at Parker’s marine on Friday April 30th, 2010. She is now floating happily at the Kingman Yacht Club in Catamut, Mass. In a week or so, three able bodied seamen will arrive at the Cape to set sail for the trip home to the Brudenell River. Many tales will be logged, some of them true, some of them will be invented I am sure!
We will be re-naming our motorcraft of course, as it is very important that the boat’s name is somewhat a reflection of the owners. More on that later. For now, we will just enjoy having the creature comforts that will make our cruising on the Atlantic waters much more enjoyable. The ‘official launch’ with the traditional champagne is being reserved for “Loon’s” arrival at “Fee’s Landing”. Our first (planned) excursion will be to the Bras D’Or Lakes in Cape Breton accompanied by several of our ‘boat people’ friends. More on that later as well!
Signing off, from the ‘Cape’;
Captain and 1st Mate Lady Lorraine!
